Every Fall, FRIENDS sends out their Annual Appeal to raise additional funding to help support our New Milford Library. These funds are used to purchase and support various programs, which are FREE to the public, many new books, books on tape and CD’s, as well as equipment to enhance the offerings of the Library.
Your 2007 dollars, along with the funds we raised at our Annual Book Sale and other fundraising projects, thus far in 2007 purchased and/or sponsored the following:
Auto Repair Reference Center – an on-line database Immigration in U.S. History Reference Book Historical Statistics of the US Reference Book Speakers for the Genealogy Group 90 new DVD’s for the Adult Library Sets 1&2 of the A&E Romance Classics on DVD Books for Babies Program Financing for the Junior Library Summer Music/Arts Programs Sponsorship of the Junior Robotics League MP3 Players – 3 additional to be lent to the public for the Downloadable Audio Books program
Also approved for purchase is a Networked color printer for the Children’s Library and Blue Steel Shelving for the Young Adult area.
